Hats by Leko Policies

Hats by Leko is a wholesaler and the warehouse is not open to the public.  Hats By Leko warehouse is a shipping facility and no pick up’s of orders is allowed.
There is a $60.00 min. on ALL ORDERS.  Please note that $60.00 USD minimum does not include shipping. 
All orders must be submitted on-line.
Hats By Leko does not call customers if items are back ordered. If you do not want items back ordered, please put your instructions in the comment box on your order form.
If you make any changes to your order after it has been submitted, including address changes, there will be an extra $10.00 handling charge added to your invoice. 
Cancellation Policy - We do not accept cancellations once you have submitted your order.
Hats By Leko  no longer uses FedEx or UPS for International Shipping.  We will ship FedEx or UPS if you supply your own account number.  Please note:  If your FedEx or UPS Number is not correct we reserve the right to bill you back double the duty costs or a minimum of $25.00 (which ever is larger).
Quantity Purchases
To qualify for quantity discounts, orders will be packed in one box and sent to one address.


Coupons can only be used once and if 2 coupons are available at one time, then only one can be used per order.

Discrepancies - You must report any errors in your order within 3 days of receipt.  Please email
us and reference your original invoice number and then state the discrepancy.

Typo's & Cart Errors - Hats by Leko is not responsible for website typo's and cart errors.  We will inform you of the error and make the corrections.

Convenient Payment Choices

  • We gladly accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express (We can not accept American Express orders that are sent to a 2nd party.  American Express rules strictly prohibit anyone except the card holder using the American Express card. No exceptions)If a credit card is declined for any reason there will be a $10.00 charge added to the order once the order is processed.  If the order is not processed, there will be a %25 restocking charge added to your next order.  If your Credit card is declined more than 3 times, we reserve the right to review your account whether or not we will accept future orders from you.
  • There will be a $10.00 charge added to orders when an non US credit card is used when shipping to a US address.
  • We are no longer allowed to take charge cards via regular e-mail. New regulations prohibit us to do this.  Please use our secured web site.
  • Please make sure your credit card number and expiration date are typed in correctly so your order can be shipped.
  • We accept Post Office Money Orders made out to Leko with no processing fee.  Other money orders will be charged a processing fee of $20.00 USD.
  • Cashier Checks, Personal Checks and money orders are no longer accepted.
  • No C.O.D.'s.
  • We do not take school purchase orders or any purchase orders.  We take charge cards only.
  • We do not extend credit, Credit Cards Only.
  • We reserve the right to refuse future orders once a credit card is declined and the customer has not made an alternative payment,


Errors: All descriptive, typographic, or photographic errors are subject to correction.  We reserve the right to limit quantities ordered.

No Return Policy

Sale items can not be exchanged or returned.  All sales items are final.

Hats by Leko does not accept returns: the exceptions are; goods damaged in transit, and items shipped in error.  If your package arrives damaged, refuse it and notify us immediately; we'll replace it and file a claim with the carrier.  If you accept the package and it's damaged, notify your carrier right away and they'll correct the situation.  If an exception is made to this policy, there will be a 25% restocking charge.   If for any reason your order needs to be restocked, including and not limited to declined credit cards, you will be liable for restocking charges. 

Damages and/or Shortages In all cases retain all packing materials and container. All claims must be made within 3 days of receipt of merchandise. Claims made after this period will not be honored. Returns must be received within 7 days. Any agreements to send merchandise to Hats By Leko must be received within 2 weeks.
  • Do not report any shortages till shipment is verified against the INVOICE which was emailed to you.
  • Apparent shortages might be a back order or discontinued item.
  • Each shipment is checked twice to assure accuracy.
  • Please carefully check all packing material for small items.
  • Notify us immediately if shortage can not be explained.
DAMAGE: Do not return any merchandise to us without first obtaining authorization.  Once authorization has been assigned, merchandise will need to be returned for assessment before it can be replaced.
Authorized returns of undamaged merchandise must be returned to us in the same condition that it was sent in order to receive credit or a refund.  You must contact us within 3 days after you receive your shipment.  Ship returns to 3365 Odell Hwy., Hood River, OR 97031You have 10 days after receiving the RA# to return the merchandise.  No returns will be accepted without an RA#.  Be sure to put the Return Authorization (RA) # in large print on the outside of the box.  If the merchandise was damaged in transit, you must contact your carrier for a refund.
Lost Shipments: Hats By Leko must be informed no later than 2 weeks after order was placed that a shipment wasn't received. No refunds or replacements will be given after 2 weeks.
Hotel Shipments: Hats by Leko is not liable for shipments insured or not that are delivered to an hotel and are lost in the hotel.
Fed/Ex Please contact 1 800 GO FED EX to report damage, make a claim and request that parcel be picked up for return and inspection. Notify us as to the extent of the damage or loss.
US Postal Service In most cases you will be required to take damaged parcel to your local post office to make a claim or go on line to www.usps.com.

Back Orders We carry hundreds of items, styles colors and sizes, and we try to carry enough of each item to fill everyone's needs. Occasionally, though, the particular item you're looking for won't be available at the time you order it.  If this happens, we'll ship the item to you as soon as it arrives, if it is listed as a back order on your invoice only.

Priority Mail Express & Priority Mail
With some exceptions, Priority Mail Express shipments include up to $100 of insurance and Priority Mail shipments may include up to $50. For more valuable shipments, additional coverage is usually available. UPS ground and FEDEX ground includes $99.00 of insurance.

Shipping Policies

  • Hats By Leko does not ship to hotels or motels.
  • If we receive an order that has flammable goods on it and you are requested the rest of the order go via AIR, the complete order will be shipped via ground because we cannot send flammable goods via AIR.
  • Canadian Customers:  Fedex Ground is for US customers only.  If you choose Fedex Ground on your orders, your order will be shipped via the appropriate Fedex shipping method to Canada.  You will be charged the higher, appropriate shipping method amount.
  • Rush orders are not accepted for orders under the $60.00 min.  All rush orders are charged a $10.00 rush order fee.
  • All changes to orders for  address,  charge cards, or any other reason,  made after orders are received by HBL will incur a $10.00 handing charge.  Changes are not guaranteed to be made if received after order is processed.
  • If you want to add items to a submitted order, please use your confirmation email and reply to us with your changes.  If your order hasn't been picked up by the Carrier, Hats By Leko will make every effort to make the changes to your order. 
  • We have an automated system so it's up to you to choose the carrier you want to use in the shopping cart. We will ship according to the choice you make in the submitted order unless we can ship it cheaper with another carrier.
  • The customer is responsible for receiving deliveries. You will receive your tracking number via email so you will know what day your package arrives.  Any special instructions should be posted on your door.
  • Hats By Leko only ships by United States Postal Service (USPS), UPS or Fed EX.
  • USPS Priority is not considered a rush order.  If you need your order expedited, please check the rush order box on your order form.
  • Avoid incurring extra shipping costs by double checking your address. Make sure you have the correct zip code and suite number because, the carrier adds a charge when they correct your address.
  • Hats By Leko sends you a tracking number when your order is processed. You are responsible for tracking your order. If your order has not been received and you don’t notify us immediately (within 10 days of shipping) Hats By Leko is not responsible. As much as we want to help you, it will be too late to find it if we are not alerted sooner. 
  • International orders are shipped through USPS only.  Hats by Leko can not guarantee your package will arrive at a predefined time since customs can hold up orders.
  • There are items throughout the site that we pre-program the shipping method.  This is done since it can only be sent by a particular carrier or the size or weight of the box is more economical through a particular carrier.   
  • We will ship USPS or FedEx using your account # when provided. Be sure to tell us if you want ground, etc.
  • Hats By Leko reserves the right to upgrade your shipping method & shipping charges when you stipulate a date needed and the method of shipping you chose may not get there in time.
  • Handling and Packaging charge:  Hats By Leko reserves the right to charge a $4.00 handling and packaging charge.
  • Please include special shipping instructions such as "Require Signature" in the comment box provided in the cart.  If you will not be there to receive your shipment and it is left outside, Hats By Leko is not responsible for damaged or stolen merchandise after it is delivered.
  • If you do not let us know if the shipping address is commercial or residential (mark choice on order form) we will default to residential.  No refund will be possible if this is incorrect, but please be sure to let us know on your next order.
  • There will be a $20.00 USD charge for address changes made while order is in transit.
  • When a customer requests Hats By Leko to send their order in such a fashion that Hats By Leko cannot insure the shipment, then by virtue of this request, the customer agrees to self insure.  In other words, if the box gets lost, the customer is responsible.  Hats by Leko has no liability to replace your lost order.
  • Any order that needs to be separated, (ie.: going to more than 1 address or shipping stiffener which needs to be shipped separately) each shipment must meet the $60.00 min.  Air and rush orders are only available for orders $60.00 min. & up.
  • Once an order is processed and awaiting pickup and the customer decides to change the shipping method, there will be a $10.00 processing charge to reprocess the order.  Once the package has been picked up by the carrier, there will be no changes made to the shipping method.
  • If you are not there to accept your shipment and it is returned to us,  your charge card will NOT be credited. If you wish to have your shipment sent back to you, you will have to pay for return shipping plus a $4.00 service charge.
  • If for whatever reason customers refuse to accept their shipment, the customer will be responsible for shipping costs both ways and restocking charges.
  • Wide Brim Hats: We assume that as a hat designer, you will block your hats. Therefore, we ship wide brim hats in smaller boxes to save on shipping. If you do not want your wide brim hat folded, let us know this in the comment section of the shopping cart. Your shipping costs will be raised accordingly when we ship since the cart is programmed for the smaller box shipping costs.
  • If Hats By Leko ships to a guest at a hotel, the customer must agree to self insure.

International Shipments

  • Our customers are responsible for all duty, taxes, customs, and brokerage fees involved in importing our products.  In the event that you do not pay your bills and we are billed back for them, Hats By Leko reserves the right to double your charges ($25.00 minimum).  Hats By Leko  no longer uses FedEx or UPS for International Shipping(except Canada).  We will ship USPS or FedEx using your account # when provided.  Please note:  If your FedEx or UPS Number is not correct we reserve the right to bill you back double the duty costs or a minimum of $25.00 (which ever is larger).
  • International Customers that live in countries that the post office will not insure will have to self insure.
  • International orders:  We reserve the right to issue a credit rather than send an item that was left out of your order.  We reserve the right to cancel your back order.
Of special note:  To  Mothers of Brides and Brides.  My we suggest that you go to a bridal store for your hat and veil making needs.  If you choose to ignore our professional advice please note that these policies also apply to you and we will not accept any returns or exchanges.

In order to be guaranteed that an order will ship by AIR the same day as it is ordered, Hats By Leko needs to have you enter your order into our shopping cart  by 9:00 A.M.  Pacific Time.
